GITAUPNISHAD: A Machine Learning Based Multilingual Framework for Ancient Indian Script Inspired by the Bhagavad Gita

Abstract

An ancient Hindu Literary work, Bhagavad Gita offers deep, wise, reflective insights on one’s duty (dharma), honour, virtue and the nature of existence. Bhagavad Gita is knowledge and righteousness path written in Sanskrit language verses that are also known as Sholkas. The core concepts described in this sacred Hindu scripture are Karma yoga, Bhakti yoga and Jnana yoga for personal development. The Bhagavad Gita also has influenced people’s leadership qualify, philosophy of life and psychological well-being.

This research work is to design and develop interactive and multilingual framework assisted by modern technologies to derive the essence of this spiritual scripture. The exploration is designed on the Vedantic, Yogic and ethical perspective. To study, explore and share the philosophical significance of this epic literary work, we rely on Natural Language Processing (NLP) using computers along with machine learning techniques. NLP tasks such as tokenization, contextual embedding, semantic analysis etc., along with meaningful transformation from Sanskrit to English, Hindi and Marathi are performed. The machine learning techniques are employed to improve the result accuracy by providing the needed feedback. This also leads to continual improvement of the framework.
