Managerial Practices and Librarianship

The article has been carried out with the view to analyze the various Managerial attributes and aspects of library profession, which in fact had been very much there since the inception of profession but the realization towards horning the skill was somewhat missing. One can easily see, how efficiently like any competent manager a librarian organizes knowledge and puts it to use as per the expectations of library clientele. In the present era, as we know services are totally either based on technology or by management skills, and to have both has become inevitable. Profession of librarianship has become equally challenging and to survive under the prevailing conditions and to make ones presence felt is equally difficult. In this paper we have tried to workout and assess the managerial attributes of a library professional.
