Abstract

This paper presents a scientometric study of Indian contribution in the field of Emotional Intelligence covered in the bibliographic database namely PsycINFO. The literature covered in the database for the period 1999–2003 was considered. PsycINFO covered the maximum of 1025 records during the study period i.e. 1999–2003. Out of total 1025 records, all of them were in English language forming 100% of the total. The most frequently cited journals are general in nature, the total contributions are collaborative research with different degrees of collaboration. The average degree of collaboration is 0.87. The collaborative research tends to be more in the field of Emotional intelligence.
