Abstract

This paper highlights how the users today especially the students are highly influenced by the digital resources especially the internet, to retrieve information for various purposes. A study is conducted based on the responses of students undertaking post graduation in marine field of Goa University. However, it is seen that the users do not possess the required skills to carry out the search in a digital environment. Therefore, providing digital literacy to the users is the need of the hour, to provide them the necessary skills to carry out online search in an effective manner.
