Open Source Cloud Computing Software and Solutions for Libraries

Open Source and Cloud computing are two facets of service offerings where the open source provides an essential foundation for cloud computing services through the Internet. Cloud Computing is an emerging concept that strives to democratize computing power making it location and device independent. The current paper attempts to investigate and decipher the existing resources of cloud capacity that can be implied in Indian libraries. It presents a snapshot of various open source cloud based operating systems that are an important integrated tool to use the various computing activities that we installed or downloaded on traditional computers.
