Abstract

Electronic resources are the concept of new era, which have brought a lot of phenomenal changes in the process of information dissemination. One of significant challenge of new electronic environment is to manage the information and provide access to myriad forms of electronic resources. Present article presents a case study of strategic planning for managing electronic resources at PEC University of Technology. Besides giving a brief account of historical development of PEC University of Technology, the article provides an overview of how access to electronic resources is being provided at the PEC Library. It also shows how change from print-based resources to a hybrid (consisting of a mix of print and electronic) collection is being used for imparting information using technology as a catalyst.
