Abstract

The open access has reformed the information accessibility and utilization. It benefits the interested persons by providing visibility to the authors and information without any charges to those who need information and knowledge. Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is the significant contribution to the open access movement. It facilitates access to more than 7700 journals in various subjects including 106 journals in the subject of Animal Sciences. Animal Sciences is an important subject related to the health care of livestock. This paper evaluates the contribution of various countries, in various languages to the DOAJ in the subject of Animal Sciences.
