This study aims to examine the user behavior of 71 research scholars and faculty members of selected departments at the University of Mysore like Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Botany. For the purpose of conducting this study a structured questionnaire with 5 point scale was used. Along with averages Mean and SD were applied using SPSS. The major findings are that the users prefer both print and electronic source of information. Majority of the respondents have learnt to use eJournals from ‘friends/colleagues’. The respondents look for quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals’ for sending their papers for publication. It is seen that the respondents identify and access relevant electronic articles by ‘browsing through recent issues’ (Mean = 3.60) followed by ‘searching full text databases from publisher or aggregator’ (eg: ELSEVIER, Springer).
