Mechanism & Methods of Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) Service

Library and Information Centre plays an important role in providing services to the users as well as to research scholars. Research is not an easy task for the researcher without help or support of the library and information Centre. Researchers spend his/her more than half of the time of research for the searching information from library and other primary as well as secondary information sources. So he/she wants selective information for saving their time. There are various services provide in the library. In this paper the authors describes the SDI service as per the needs of the users, impact of technology, mechanism and methods of providing this research oriented services to the researcher.
