A Survey of Library Automation and Networking of Dental College Libraries in Karnataka

This research article is focused on library automation and networking of dental college libraries in Karnataka. The survey findings mainly cover various aspects of library automation and networking facilities provided by the dental college libraries in Karnataka, such as Library automation, Networking, software, Manpower and Budget expenditures. The Questionnaire was circulated to all the 39 dental college libraries in Karnataka. Out of 39 dental college libraries, 35 libraries responded to the questionnaire. I.e. response rate is 89.74%. Hence the analysis of the data collected is based on the responses of these 35 libraries. Concluded for the implementation of library automation and networking the planning is most important. The problems encountered in this process are identified possible suggestions.
