Research Contributions of Prof. P. R. Sudhakaran to Biochemistry: A Scientometric Study

This study attempts to evaluate the publications of Prof. P. R. Sudhakaran in relation to the knowledge domain of biochemistry and his role for the advancement of biochemistry in India in a span of more than three and half decades (1974–2012). During this period he has published 118 research articles in national and international journals, nine project reports, 25 conference/seminar papers, 16 conference reports, one edited volume, three book chapters, 20 invited presentations at conferences and 12 contributed chapters/reviews and proceedings. The degree of collaboration of his contributions was found to be 0.97. His papers have been scattered in 48 high IF journals. His h-index is 22 and citations for all publications are 1408 and i10 index is 52 is a clear indication of his consistent publication productivity behavior.
