Abstract

Renewable energy is a dynamic area of research which attains magnitude now a day. Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge is today's premier research platform, helping you quickly find, analyze, and share information in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities from which the data for present analysis has been retrieved for a period of 14 years during 1999 to 2012. BRIC is the title of an international association of emerging national economies created by Brazil, Russia, India and China and later its acronym has changed to BRICS by including South Africa also. This study aims to analyse the BRICS countries contribution in the subject area. The study also analyses year-wise, document type-wise distribution and also the country-wise analysis which provides the percentage of BRICS share to this subject compared to world output. The analysis also includes prolific authors, Degree of Collaboration and also verifies the fitness of Bradford's law of Scattering.
