Abstract

This article examines the authorship trends of contributions in the “Indian Journal of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology ”during 2007 to 2013. A total of 456 contributions and 1425 authors were examined by year wise contributions, author productivity, year wise single and multi authored papers and Degree of Collaboration. Maximum number of contributions i.e., 120 (26.316%) were published in 2012. Average number of authors per paper is 3.125 and the average productivity per author is 0.32. The highest number of author productivity i.e., 401 (28.18%) in 2013. Majority 393 (86.184%) of the total contributions represent collaborative research. The average degree of collaboration has been arrived at 0.862 during the study period.
