Abstract

The electronic information environment has transformed the way scientists and researchers access and use information. The present study aims at knowing the awareness and use of e-resources by agricultural scientists working in various ICAR research institutes in Himalayan region of India. The structured interview of 112 scientists revealed that Internet is highly used information resource by them. Most of the information sources are preferred in e-format. E-journals and online databases are frequently used e-resources by the agricultural scientists. Awareness and use of e-resources is more in young scientists than their senior colleagues.
