Abstract

Journals are the major sources of primary information. The use of journals in scholarly literature reveals the research gap as well as research trend on a research phenomenon. The frequency of use of a journal at global level states its quality and its circulation. In this regard the present study is an attempt to know the citation to Indian LIS journals in selected international LIS journals during 2004–2013. Findings of the study show that there were 7877 journal citations from a total of 659 articles. Surprisingly it was found that only 0.83% of Indian LIS journals were cited in the selected International journal articles.
