Abstract

The present study gives the vivid picture of multimedia resources and their level of usage by the users of IIT Delhi library. The study is going to focus on the status of multimedia resources and services provided by the library, frequency to use these resources, and constraints while using these resources provided by the library of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Questionnaire method is used to collect the data from the users of IIT, Delhi. Category wise questionnaires were distributed to the users. The finding of the study reveals that maximum numbers of users are using multimedia resources ‘Daily’ and they prefer to use ‘Web based multimedia resources’. ‘Bandwidth constraints/slow downloading’ were found the biggest constraints while using Web based multimedia resources. The study also suggests that these multimedia resources help the users to get the relevant information with a click on computer from the remote areas.
