Creating Bibliographic Database in SOUL 2.0 from Existing Data Sheet-A Practical Experience

Library management software systems are used in many academic institutions for the ease of access, dissemination and use of information proper or bibliographic or member data related administrative information. There are many library software like windows based SOUL, LIBSYS etc. and Linux and Windows based Koha etc. used for this purpose. In this paper we tried to explain a practical situation of data conversion to SOUL 2.0 software from Excel as 90% of our bibliographic data were stored in this format. We tried to reduce human effort, reduce required time and monotony of the job through application of various software. It increases productivity and helps us in optimum utilization of time.
