Abstract

This paper describes about the use of Blogs among LIS professionals in University of Calicut. The study revealed that more than half (51.11%) of the professionals ’purpose of blogging is to share information or insight but, few use it to enhance their professional development. A great majority (73.33%) of library professionals are getting information regarding their profession through blogging. They are making use of this information to provide better services in their libraries.
