The necessities of the faculty members, research scholars and the M. Tech. students ’of engineering disciplines are to use the electronic resources in their day to day practice has posed a serious challenge. As a result, researchers, students and the faculty members are determined towards ICT tools and techniques and have started exploring the benefits from the emerging technologies for their academic betterment. Another way it could be analysed that it has been possible mainly due to the rapid growth of ICT gadgets, availability of myriad resources such as e-books, e-journals, e-theses and dissertations, resources present in the institutional repositories through the electronic databases and so on.
