Abstract

In this research work based on the focuses of applications that perform in different strokes for handwritten English character recognition system by using one of the best algorithmic approaches such as Adaptive Resonance Theory 1algorithmic Approaches, and also recognition an image at the different level of patterns by using the Rosenblatt's Perceptron !lgorithm; The research work deals with issues such as hand-printed character and cursive handwritten word recognition on English character for Text based Retrieval system, and observing the image retrieval system with different Patterns. In this paper, a new handwriting recognition system is proposed. This system was designed to recognize the English characters and a group of characters that are merged to give a word. In English language the character is written in either upper case letters or lower case letters, most of writing in upper case letters are same shapes, but writing in lower case letters different shapes for every persons. Comparing the image that are equivalent to the word and calculate retrieval accuracy. It describes recent achievements, difficulties, successes and challenges in all aspects of handwriting recognition. It also presents a new approach which dramatically improves current handwriting recognition systems. Some experimental results are included.
