Abstract

The importance of improved water quality from water treatment plants (WTP) is assorted by reason of its direct impact on consumer health. According to the recent studies, alterations in climatic pattern have an effect on the concentration of different water quality parameters (WQP) and change in water quality may badly affect the efficiency of WTP also. This model first applies DEMATEL to find the weightage of the criteria and then NSFDSS is utilized to prioritize WQP based on its vulnerability towards climate change. The present study tried to find the weightage of the parameters of water treatment plant by using a hybrid MCDM model. According to the result, Efficiency of Clarifloccculator is found to be the most significant parameter in regulating the performance of Water Treatment Plants. The new hybrid model can be applied to evaluate the performance of a densely populated urban surface water treatment plant.
