Impact of poverty alleviation schemes on income generation of scheduled caste women households: A case study in Telangana state

The rural development policies and Government support to alleviating the poverty by developing businesses and employment opportunities to the rural women and youth. The study had conducted in the state of Telangana by assessing Impact of poverty alleviation schemes on Income generation of scheduled caste Women households in the State of Telangana in four clusters i.e Wrangal, Rangareddy, Medak and Mahaboobnagar districts by considering 50 sample respondents in each cluster. The study found that women empowerment will happen through Impact of poverty alleviation schemes on Income generation of scheduled caste Women households. In rural areas, where there is shortage of big industries then self-employment or entrepreneurship works only an alternative for employment. Self-employment is an employment generator for rural masses. Entrepreneurship is a process of creating something new by assuming the risk and rewards and an individual who takes risks and starts something new is known as an entrepreneur.
