Abstract

Industrialization across the globe has led to an increase in thebusiness production and technologies. An immense pressure is put on the organizations, which in turn, resort to practices that may interfere with the environment. This has led to the organizations practicing green approach in all its fields and activities to promote environmental sustainability. Green Human Resource Management helps in restoring the ecological balance of the environment by integrating green approach in all their process and activities. Greening the employees from top to bottom is not an easy task but the need for it has risen and organizations too highlights its importance by implementing it. The paper focuses on the importance of the concept of Green Human Resource, the HR activitieswhich can be linked to the green programmes and green initiatives, and explore the new areas of the practices which can be brought under the ambit of green HRM. A descriptive analysis of the different process of Human Resource has been made in integration with the environmental management. At the end, it is inferred with the present practices of green Human Resource in corporate bodies as well as few suggestions are put forward for the betterment of further exploration of Green Human Resource Management.
