Antiya Taal and its catchment being under sustained anthropogenic stress is constantly receiving sewage and faecal matter from the catchment area. With such an enhanced influx of wastes into the domain of the lake, the water quality of Antiya taal is depleting at an alarming rate and consequently during the present survey it has been found that the water of the lake has depleted to such an extent that the lake water is no more fit for drinking purposes rather it is good for irrigation purposes only.
