Out of the eight isolates of Streptomyces screened for the production of antibiotics, two isolates were found to be efficient producers. Growth pattern of the isolates was studied and antimicrobial activity of cultures was tested against Candida albicans, Bacillus cereus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus.
