A field study was conducted to determine the influence of different microbial inoculants coupled with FYM and fertilizers on their establishment and metabolism of plant nutrients and performance of Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.). Azospirillum and PSM population and root colonization and sporulation in AMF, increased significantly due to inoculation. An improvement in nitrogenase and dehydrogenase activity was also recorded. Biomass, grain and stover yield increased significantly in presence of mixed inoculum, FYM and fertilizers.
