Abstract

Patients are an important component of a hospital and their satisfaction determines the sustenance and image of the hospital. A cross-sectional study at Hospitals of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh, a Super Specialty hospital, was conducted from 1st Nov. 2019 to 28th Feb. 2020 for the purpose of identifying patient satisfaction level and relationships with explanatory factors. A sample of 100 Pre and Post-operative inpatients who stayed for more than 72 hours in the hospital were administered structured questionnaires and information is collected. Descriptive statistics was used to describe the satisfaction level and independent variables while the relationships between these factors were determined by Chi-square test. Comments and suggestions from the patients were also captured in this study. The hospital has scope to improve in providing general cleanliness of General wards, Toilets, Nursing Care services, low cost treatment as recommended by the patients.
