Abstract

The present study is an effort to accumulate the factors that are influencing the individuals to establish the startups in Karnataka region. The study is mainly based on primary data and the necessary primary data has been collected from the startup companies which are established between 2010–2015 in Karnataka region. A sample of 100 startup companies has been selected using simple random sampling. The researcher has conducted survey using structured questionnaire method to decipher the information regarding the various factors which triggered the respondents to establish their own firms. Factor analysis has been used to analyze the motivational factors which are most inter correlated with each other. Principal component analysis was the method of extraction. This study has fruitfully achieved an overall understanding of the motivational factors that are most inter correlated with each other.
