Abstract

Computer scientists have many models of behavior described either by machines, or by syntaxes, or even by logics; all this theoretical arsenal would certainly be useful to students of psychology. The basic models of computer science that are the notions of automatons of different kinds (finite, timed, stochastic, probabilistic) would provide a stock of models for the human mind and behavior which computational psychology would use as methods and techniques to identify its object of study. The difficulty today is the scientific and even academic world has not yet fully grasped this scientific reality.

However, this would allow psychology, if this dimension is mastered, that algorithms, programs and their complexities be taught at the same time as the “algorithms” of cognitive and behavioral therapies. The psychological theory of conditioning and learning would be taught at the same time as Machine Learning and Deep Learning in the sense of the contribution of computer science to the teaching profession. This approach could also be applied on the computer science side if the mind models used by roboticists are taught at the same time as psychological models. Computational logic would be taught along with the belief systems of cognitive therapy.

This is why this dissertation aims to show that the models of these two sciences are inter-used by them, computer psychology and computer psychology find their reason for being taken in the category of applied sciences autonomously in their fields respective fundamentals.
