Abstract

Over the years, extensive research has been done on quality management (QM) and its techniques. Many quality tools and approaches may be adopted to improve the quality and productivity. The primary aim of this research is to implement the quality management tools and techniques comprehensively to increase the productivity of a thermal power plant. It is evident from the literature that Ishikawa (Cause and Effect) diagram is one of the most commonly used tools. Some of the significant problems of thermal power plant have been discussed and subsequently, their possible solutions are also recommended.
