Atanassov (1986) developed the concept of intuitionistic fuzzy set as a generalization of L.A. Zadeh’sfuzzy set. Fuzzy number and fuzzy arithmetic are vital parts of fuzzy set theory. The paper is therefore addressed to the introduction of intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy numbers and their arithmetic.
