“To Study the Relationship between the Intellectual Capacity and Behavioral Skills of Third and Final Year Students of Engineering Colleges of Nagpur”

The researcher wants to study the relationship between the intellectual capacity and behavioral skills of third and final year students of engineering colleges of Nagpur. The researcher has segregated data of 1426 engineering student respondents into two groups namely third and final year of engineering. Respondents from third-year are 490 students and 936 students are from the final year of engineering. The relationship between Intellectual Capacity and Behavioral Skills is observed by keeping the average Intellectual Capacity constant and then it is correlated with all the ten parameters of Behavioral Skills and vice versa.

Final year engineering students have shown a positive, mild and significant relationship between Behavioral Skills and Intellectual Capacity r(df934 = 0.146, p<0.05), as compared to third-year students, this relationship is better. Third-year engineering students have shown negligible and non-significant relationships between Behavioral Skills and Intellectual Capacity r(df488 = 0.073, p>0.05).

Final and third-year engineering students are found better in Listening Skills. The relationship between Intellectual Capacity and Listening Skills is found significant in both groups. It is concluded that most of the efforts to improve Behavioral Skills have been taken in the final year only.
