Abstract

In this paper, the spent electron beam in a linear beam tube is collected by depressed collectors by unwinding the magnetic field prior to the collection using refocusing section. It is found that the overall efficiency has considerably increased as compared to that without refocusser, thus, proving that the use of refocusser is a useful addition in the collection of electron beam in linear beam tubes.
