Role of information technology in dissemination and development of education

Information technology has been developed to provide education in different fields like marketing, engineering, arts etc. Some of the technological tools use information technology to spread out or promote education and training. E-books and digital libraries are also the new concepts related with the promotion of education. They have to identify the shift in the paradigm and gear up to meet the new challenges by adopting superhighway technology like e-learning, m-learning, digital library and etc. This paper focusses that the internet is the only solution for speedy, Prompt, responsive, exhaustive, pin pointed, efficient, effective and tailor-made information services.
