Changing trends Indian film editing techniques – A study

Film editing technique in India witnessed swift changes due to the advancement in technology. Advanced technologies have provided various kinds of devices, equipment and software for film editing. This research basically aims to study the various technological developments and the advancement of techniques in film editing, the increased usage in special effects, the digital effects and their articulation in recent Indian movies. The study is also making an attempt to evaluate the latest softwares that are being used in film editing and their effects. Four sample movies were chosen for the analysis. The analysis results reveals that there has been maximum usage of recent techniques in the songs, various scenes and sequences in the movies.
