M2M technology: A literature review

Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications technology facilitates devices to share information and execute actions without human intervention. M2M communication offers various services and it is a key enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology which provides an opportunity to build powerful Industrial systems. This paper addresses M2M concepts through a review of various research papers and online database so the development of M2M technology can be understood. This paper will provide an insightful review of M2M technology, key enabling technologies and their applications.
