This study explores the job demand stressors and coping strategies used by the Grade II, I, III (Head constables) police constables in Tamil nadu. Using survey method from police constables in Tuticorin district and concentrated on eight sub divisions comprising 52 police stations and the researcher collected 600 samples from grade II,I,III police constables. 12 stress coping strategies used as measuring instrument. This research suggests that it is not the stressors themselves but police constables manner of coping with them that determine psychological adjustment.
