A case of mediastinal yolk sac tumour in a seven-month old male child with spinal canal extension and Paraparesis is described. Posterior mediastinal involvement in a young child with yolk sac tumour and spinal canal extension is an exceedingly rare presentation. Conventional cytogenetics studies were normal.
