Titanium alloys are employed in varieties of applications due to their high strength to weight ratio and good corrosion resistance.
Machining of these alloys are difficult due to the built up edge formation on the tool and steep increase in temperature. Tungsten carbide with cobalt matrix tool is employed to machine the Ti – 6 Al – 4V titanium alloy in the present investigation. Parameter optimization is carried out for better surface integrity.
