Abstract

The nanoparticles have the capability of mimicking the biological skeleton or system. Polydiacetylene based nanoparticles are one of the most important that form the membrane biomimetic systems. Highly evolved and self assembled nanostructure of biological membrane mediates various biological functions like molecular recognition. These synthetic membranes are finding their roles to be used in various biological, pharmaceutical and diagnostic applications. In future the potential of Polydiacetylene (PDA) based nanosomes may be exploited for their application to drug delivery system, Quantitative Structure Activity Relationship (QSAR) based peptide or drug designing and also for tackling antibiotic resistance in bacteria, a major issue for scientists.
