Pure and doped strontium formate dihydrate single crystals were grown by slow evaporation method. The grown crystals were characterized by powder XRD analysis and the thermal parameters were calculated. The thermograms of the grown crystals were recorded in the temperature range 30 – 950°C. The thermograms show that these crystals are thermally unstable and decompose into its oxide through many stages. DTA curve of the pure crystal shows three endothermic and one exothermic peak.
