Abstract

Emotional Intelligence (EI), Leadership and Innovation are the new era, the buzz word of corporate, and the current trend in management. Corporates are looking on to organizational sustainability as their new goal. An organization can be successful only when it is able to adapt itself to the various changes in the dynamic business environment and retains its competitive advantage over other players in the market. The key to progress, particularly in times of economic crisis, is innovation. Emotional Intelligence has become a vital part of how today's leaders meet the significant challenges they face. Especially at the highest levels in organisations, emotional intelligence can give developing leaders a competitive edge. Leaders high in EI are considered more empathetic, understanding and approachable, and they are likely to share better relations with their subordinates. This helps in providing a conducive environment for the employees to think creatively and promote innovation. This paper will focus on the various issues related to Emotional Intelligence, Leadership and Innovation in building successful companies.
