A Review on Health Inequalities

Globally over the past few decades advancement in the health care has brought in tremendous change in the health care delivery. Developed and developing countries have the challenges before them to deliver effective health care system. Particularly with regard to the developing country like India need to focus on the needs of the most disadvantages groups.

In any general public the determinants of wellbeing can't be contemplated without Social and financial disparity. Particularly when the general public is heterogeneous in nature and overpopulated and experiencing fast yet unequal financial development.

Owing to the situation this paper attempts to review the research works done on health inequalities in India and tries to bring out the reasons behind prevailing Health inequalities and disparities in delivering health care among the poor and needy. Reports, Research Articles are used as the main source of data.

In fact researches have proven that society's poorer and less advantaged members live in worse health and die much younger than the rich and more privileged ones. There are evidence from the theory of fundamental causes that there is close association between Socio Economic Status, health and mortality. Many researches proves that health inequalities exist and emphasis that the gap between socioeconomic resources and health-beneficial preventive measures and treatments must be broken or reduced.
