Landmark legislation in Indian history of social security legislation had taken place in the year 2005 by enacting National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA). The act provides 100 days of guaranteed employment to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled labour work at statuary minimum wages. In district Rajouri MGNREGA has been implemented in the third phase i, e in the year 2008–09. So in this context present study is an attempt to study the performance both in form of physical & financial aspects of MGNREGA in District Rajouri.
