Every man lives in an environment which includes all living and non-living objects. To meet different developmental and over-growing needs and demands we create pressure on our environment and this pressure leads to different environmental hazards and imbalances. The only weapon to overcome such issues is to make the individual aware about the environment through proper education. Higher Secondary stage is crucial in this case because it targets to develop knowledge, skill, attitude, responsible behaviour and to make a good future citizen who actively participates to meet the crisis of the nation. Hence it is very important to understand their levels of awareness and the relationship between environmental awareness and students (boys and girls) of this stage. In this present study focus is given to understand the levels of environmental awareness of Higher Secondary students and the effect of gender in this regard.
