Abstract

There are several advantages with e-banking. Several related studies have shown that e-banking Usage among Youth electronic banking applications have become popular in many countries. The phenomenon remains not widely used in many others such as Jaffna District. This study identified and investigated the factors that influence youth in Jaffna District to use e-banking. The research model was adopted from the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model (UTAUT). A survey questionnaire was administered to collect data from 350 university students of the University of Jaffna. The results show a positive correlation between customer service, type of bank and perceived ease of use and the use of e-banking. The implications of the results are crucial fortechnology adoption research and managers of banks in Jaffna District.
