Emotional intelligence is a kind of social intelligence. This concept has evolved with time and is still evolving with new researchers brainstorming their way through it. This paper is a study of the theory of emotional intelligence since its origin and includes a discussion about how and why the concept has become useful in work place settings for both managers and employees enabling overall success of organization as a whole.
