Retirement is a huge responsibility. It is the time when we have no income flowing but expect only cash outflows. Retirement planning involves depositing money into a retirement account, and purposefully saving money for the future. Most people have not estimated how much they need to save for retirement. This lack of awareness may contribute to low levels of retirement saving. Therefore, the present study is aimed to examine the awareness level regarding retirement planning as well as to explore the factor affecting retirement planning among a sample of 100 respondents in Sirsa. The primary data will be collected by face to face interview and responses will be analyzed accordingly. The result of the studies may yield fruitful insights to induce people for a timely and efficient retirement planning.
