Abstract

An employee's work behaviour which is mainly influenced by his motivation, determines the success of an organization to a great extent. Employee motivation, in turn, is mostly influenced by various dimensions of organizational climate prevailing in a particular organization.

However, among researchers there is no unanimity of opinion either on the conceptual framework of organizational climate or on the dimensions of organizational climate, which affect employee motivation to a substantial extent. Hence, research studies conducted so far in this direction do not offer findings which may be commonly acceptable by one and all. Hence, there is a need for more research so as to arrive at a commonly agreed view.
