SRIMATI: Smart Rural Indian MahilaAmeliorating Trade Investment.

This paper has been designed considering the importance of rural working women in creating consumer awareness in the country. Women in India are considered to be an important segment in creating consumer awareness. Whether it is from rural or urban area, they have the power to influence anyone in making purchase decision. Whether they are highly qualified of less educated if they are working they have the practical and market knowledge more than a housewife. They can logically make decision and will chose the best among the various alternative options. The study will also reveal the impact of rural working women in influencing the purchase decision of the family and society at large.

It is a descriptive study with information drawn from the secondary sources. The study discloses the need for empowerment of working women for the development of the society. For this reason, big organizations like Reliance Industries, TATA and many banks like SBI, BOIare endeavoring for women empowerment especially in rural areas. The paper will also embosom some of the efforts on the part of the above mentioned organization for the women empowerment. The analysis is also likely to reveal how the working women in India have the faculty to influence the purchase decision of the family and society.
